Jim Duran is associate professor of communication research at the College of Communication, Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Passionate about scholarly research, his move to write policy analyses is giving him another reason to persevere in exploring other areas of study like climate change, de-urbanization, and geopolitics. He completed his PhD in Southeast Asian Studies in 2021 from Centro Escolar University Manila.
