Hnin Thawdar Win
Graduate Student, Founder of Civic Literacy Myanmar
Hnin Thawdar Win is a recent graduate of Bard College's MA program in Global Studies and a U.S. Department of State academic fellow. Originally from Myanmar and now based in New York City, she brings prior experience as a Regional Coordinator in the Southeast Asia region, including field-based work in Malaysia, where she worked closely with communities and stakeholders across the region. She is also involved with Civic Literacy Myanmar, contributing to efforts that strengthen civic awareness and engagement among Myanmar communities. Her academic and professional interests center on higher education, inclusive education, and youth engagement in Southeast Asia. She is passionate about connecting scholarship with real-world impact and is eager to deepen her engagement with the Southeast Asian community through NYSEAN's network of scholars, students, journalists, and policymakers.
