A PhD student in Political Science with a specialization in Comparative Politics and Public Policy at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany, funded by the Fulbright Scholarship and the Swyer Family Endowed Scholarship. Aldi's research focuses on environmental politics and policy, agrarian and peasant politics, democratization, political parties, electoral politics, foreign policy, and Muslim politics in Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
