Iām an ecologist and artist based in Brooklyn, New York. I study disturbance dynamics in Indonesia's tropical forest systems, with the applied goal of facilitating regeneration toward more resilient states, using methods such as bioacoustics, terrestrial LiDAR scanning, and satellite remote sensing. In partnership with my natural sciences work, I am currently expanding my research program to incorporate robust humanist approaches. I am particularly interested in how we form relationships with our environments, how we think about them, and how we can collectively imagine hopeful and just visions for the future.
