Allan Benedict Solacito

Allan Benedict C. Solacito, MA currently serves as the Chair of Political Science at the National University - Clark. He is a political economist who researches on Southeast Asia, international political economy, global politics, queer studies, political rhetoric and performance. He took his Master of Arts in Asian Political Economy from the Taipei School of Economics and Political Science at National Tsing Hua University in 2024. In 2020, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication at the University of the Philippines - Diliman cum laude. Before joining academia, he worked for the government and various research institutions both in the Philippines and abroad. He has written pieces for FACTS Asia, the US-China Perception Monitor, and the Democratic Erosion Consortium. He is an active member of various academic organizations such as the Association of Southeast Asian Studies (ASEAS), New York Southeast Asian Network (NYSEAN), SEA LGBTQ+ Research Network, and DLSU Southeast Asia Research Center and Hub.
