Myanmar’s Youth and Their Voice: A Reference Note on Their Conscientization During the Transition (2010–21) and Subsequent Mobilization for a Federal Democratic Union

In this paper published by NYSEAN Partner ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute, Francis Loh Kok Wah examines the prominent role of Myanmar’s youth in sustaining anti-coup movements, and how their voices and contributions have been important inputs for nascent local government initiatives.

Francis Loh Kok Wah was Professor of Politics, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang. He served, thereafter, as Senior Adviser, Forum of Federations (2012–24). Nowadays, he sits on the Myanmar Mosaic Board.
