I am a Cambodian anthropologist and Seoul-based scholar of East and Southeast Asia, specializing in linguistic anthropology and the anthropology of religion. I hold an M.A. in Anthropology from Seoul National University (SNU) and an M.Div. in Practical Theology from Methodist Theological University (MTU), both in Korea, and a B.A. in Korean Language from the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) in Cambodia. My research brings together linguistic anthropology, religious studies, and Southeast Asian area studies, with a focus on translingualism, identity-making, and semiotic sovereignty among the Khmer Krom community in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam, based on fieldwork conducted in 2024–2025.
