Since the 2021 coup, women in Myanmar have endured intensified suffering, gender-based violence, conflict-related sexual violence, and a range of adverse gendered policy effects. As the role of women in the resistance movement becomes more important, it is critical to understand how the security of women impacts their lives and ability to participate in the resistance.

Hear from expert Isabella Aung as she shares her perspective on the challenges facing women and girls in post-coup Myanmar today.
