Description:
Join the New York Asian Film Foundation for the international premiere of Flower Girl (2025) as part of the New York Asian Film Festival. The film screening will be followed by a Q&A with Director Fatrick Tabada and actress Sue Ramirez.
Film Synopsis:
Ena, a vapid sanitary napkin endorser who calls her vagina "Poochy," loves nothing more than her celebrity status and getting freaky with her himbo boyfriend. But when she tells a trans woman to "use the men's room" at a gas station, she discovers the person she dissed is a babaylan fairy who doesn't play. POOF! Poochy vanishes overnight, taking Ena's sex life, boyfriend, and endorsement deals with it. To get her bits back before a magic flower wilts, Ena must find true love—without her favorite asset. This candy-colored, balls-to-the-wall (or lack thereof) comedy serves up cursed genitals, karmic justice, and one woman's hilarious journey from transphobic trash to discovering real love goes deeper than your, um, depths. Think "Bridesmaids" meets "But I'm a Cheerleader" on acid.
